On April 17, bring a glass and scoop up the pansies

The Mayor of the City of Ostrołęka, Paweł Niewiadomski, invites you to take part in the educational campaign "Pansy for Glass" implemented as part of the Polish-Swiss Urban Development Program.

The action will take place during the inaugural event of the project "Ostrołęka – young people in the center" implemented as part of the Polish-Swiss Urban Development Program, on April 17, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the A. Gołaś Sports and Entertainment Hall at R. Traugutta Street in Ostrołęka.

For every 8 pieces of recyclable glass jars or bottles you donate, you will receive a pansy seedling!

Glass jars or bottles should be:
  • emptied of contents,
  • clean as much as possible,
  • without screw caps and other non-glass elements.
The maximum number of plants per person is 4 pieces. Pansies are released until the prepared pool of plants is exhausted. The Organizer does not provide for the possibility of exchanging the plant for a monetary value or any other prize not provided for in the Regulations.

The Organizer reserves the right to:a) refuse to accept waste that does not meet the requirements set out in the regulations,b) end the action ahead of time in the event of running out of pansies.

The aim of the Action is to promote pro-ecological attitudes among residents, increase the level of glass waste recycling, and environmental education in the field of proper waste segregation.

The program is co-financed from the Second Edition of Swiss Financial Assistance for selected Member States of the European Union in order to reduce socio-economic differences within the European Union and from the state budget.
